In September 2015 Montefiore Hospital acquired the Albert Einstein College of Medicine from Yeshiva University. Most subscription resources have been acquired cooperatively, and with the separation of the medical college, the cost of science resources, especially online resources, is likely to increase. How do we prepare for the impending increase in costs and loss of the economy of scale? How do we structure future decisions about resource acquisition within the context of a flat budget?
