It would be useful to our library and library staff if there were a technology-related searchable digital repository (catalog) that records and preserves research outputs, services, and identifies individuals with expertise or a network of experts associated with Makerspaces.  Many types of institutional and research repositories exist to address different institutional needs, digital collections and research outputs, and the ability to make all this information (records) findable/searchable.  What if one existed for METRO members, and the subject content is focused on technology, e.g. 3D printed digital files or templates?

The Hathi Trust’s Digital Library (https://www.hathitrust.org/digital_library) is an example of a repository focused mostly on the humanities. They have funded and coordinated a platform allowing participants (members) to govern what is available to all and what is restricted to their institution.

This unique technology-focused repository  (catalog) would also provide an opportunity to encourage collaboration among members on like-minded projects of interest.
