Code of Conduct — 2021

The Critical Pedagogy Symposium strives to support an open exchange of ideas within a safe and respectful environment. We value your attendance and are dedicated to providing a positive event experience for all participants. We anticipate this Symposium to be welcoming, supportive, and comfortable for all participants. We also acknowledge that discomfort is a part of the process of radical learning and critical analysis of our work.

Participation in discussions and activities online and in-person should be respectful at all times. All are expected to exercise tolerance and deep engagement with the various perspectives and opinions of all present. Some sessions will be recorded and will be advertised as such. Please seek consent and share recordings and screenshots for only those for which consent was provided.

We do not tolerate harassment in any form. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, The Critical Pedagogies Symposium may take any action it deems appropriate and to be to the benefit of the conference community, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event. The goal is to create a safe and supportive conference community and we will do so in a spirit of mindfulness, care, and sensitivity. If you have any other concerns, please contact an event organizer criticallibrarysymposium@gmail.com. All correspondence will be handled in confidence.
